Guitar Tips for the Curious and Brave
Think of yourself as a white belt. Yes, even if you’ve been shredding for years. There’s always something new to learn, so don’t corner yourself with the illusion that you’ve “figured it all out.”
Always tune your guitar before you play. Seriously—every time. It’s a habit that feels tedious at first but eventually becomes second nature, like brushing your teeth—except with more rock ‘n’ roll.
Set a daily “jam date” with yourself. Even 15 minutes counts, and if life only gives you 5, that’s fine—just show up. Consistency beats perfection every time.
Think you’ve got it down? Try teaching someone. If you can’t explain it clearly, you probably don’t know it as well as you think.
Remember: play with curiosity, laugh at your mistakes, and enjoy the ride. Your future self (and your audience) will thank you.
